Given the superb weather we've been enjoying over the last few weeks it seemed fitting for this PP instalment to feature a home that looks as good on the outside as it does inside.  And, yes, it comes with the most beautiful outdoor swimming pool.

This stunning Victorian vicarage is situated on the edge of Hatfield Forest, near Bishop's Stortford.  Set in 1.3 acres of beautifully manicured grounds it is also convenient for Stansted airport which lies just a few miles away.  However, I'm not sure how often I'd be jetting off on holiday if I lived here - just take a look at this:

This has to be one of the loveliest outdoor pools I've seen in a long time.  Surrounded by borders of lavender it would be easy to pretend you were in the south of France but just in case it's not quite St Tropez weather the pool is heated.  The view isn't bad either!

Inside, it has been stylishly decorated in cool neutral tones throughout which, keeps it feeling fresh and modern, although the property retains a wealth of period features.  The double, dual aspect family room (below) is one of three reception areas and is an excellent year round space: doors open on to the garden for hot, summer days and then in winter you can snuggle up around the log burner.

The kitchen is fitted with bespoke units, as you would expect in a house of this stature, and along with all mod cons it also comes complete with my favourite kitchen appliance, the instant hot water tap.  The pale grey scheme and on-trend hexagonal tiles add a modern edge to the traditional shaker style.

The high-spec continues upstairs and the five bedrooms are all equally well decorated in muted colours; two are en-suite. If five aren't enough for your needs there is also a self-contained one bedroom annexe above the garage.  Somewhere to put the holidaying guests?

It's not often I come across a property where I don't think I would change anything but this is one of those rare finds.  Every day would feel like a holiday here, it's pretty perfect so I wonder why the owners are selling?

Maybe they want to allez to actual France?
