Given the superb weather we've been enjoying over the last few weeks it seemed fitting for this PP instalment to feature a home that looks as good on the outside as it does inside…Read More
As I've been banging on lately about how much I love this time of year I thought it appropriate to visit one of my favourite shows of the year: The Country Living Spring Fair.
It takes place at the Business Design Centre in Islington and is literally ten minutes from my home, so there really is no excuse not to.
I find this fair particularly inspiring and it always has me hankering after a rural idyll where there are roses around the door and it's Easter all year long. *Sigh*...
Here are a few stands that caught my eye...
THE GARDEN SHOP
As the name suggests, The Garden Shop sells everything for the 'Sunday gardener' - from terracotta pots to tools and gifts. I was particularly taken by the range of gorgeous faux flowers, which are managing to look incredibly realistic these days. At just £10 for a posy of peonies that will last forever it seems almost daft to pay for real ones!
Visit the store at 120 Columbia Road, E2 7RG
THE OLD FARMHOUSE JEWELLERY
I love the delicate simplicity of this silver jewellery. Based in Penzance, this company was born after jewellery lover Victoria decided to make her own wedding rings. Buy online or visit the shop at 3 Arcade Steps, Penzance, TR18 2HW
Gift and homeware store Eliza Wray is a collaboration between two like-minded friends who share a love for interiors and home accessories. Among the goodies on show today, these throws caught my eye - in my favourite colours, grey and hot pink!
Finally, I have to mention Greige. It seems I'm not the only one with a penchant for neutrals! Proprietor Pauline has curated a timeless collection of home accessories which all share a similar raw and natural quality. Perfect for creating the rustic Scandi look, Greige sells everything from textiles to outdoor furniture. I think I could furnish an entire home from here, but of all the items on show today these cute Egg Candles brought a smile to my face. They are just the thing for the calorie-conscious at Easter!
