It's been a while since I visited a trade show - I missed out on Home & Top Drawer earlier this year - but when I read that three of my favourite bloggers, Kate Watson-Smyth (Mad About The House), Katy Orme (Apartment Apothecary) and Kate Baxter (Fabric Of My Life), were chairing a panel session as part of the ShopTalk Theatre at Pulse London I decided it was too good an opportunity to miss.
Although the subject of the talk was how brands can identify and approach bloggers to work with, rather than the other way around, I thought it would still be a useful exercise so off I went to Olympia armed with a notebook and pen.
It was inspiring to hear these women, whom I consider to be at the top of the blogging tree, talking about how they began and the trials and tribulations they have faced along the way. It has really made me consider what my blog is about, how I can tailor it to my own style and what I want to achieve with it. It's getting there and I still have a long way to go but I know that it's a path I want to follow. Of course, I'm not going to give away any of their secrets but watch this space and I'm sure you'll start to notice a few changes!
Thanks, ladies, for your words of encouragement, your beautiful and inspiring posts and boundless enthusiasm for the subject you love.
