THE UK'S QUEEN OF COLOUR MARRIES INTENSE HUES AND STRIKING PATTERN TO PRODUCE A KALEIDOSCOPIC NEW RANGE FOR SUMMER
I have coveted Clarissa Hulse's textiles (especially the silk cushions) for years yet, despite previously living only a 10-minute walk from her studio and shop, my home is still sans-Hulse. That could be about to change though as the designer launches her third collaboration with Harlequin.
Following on from the success of last year's Callista collection, Lilaea is a sumptuous blend of ombré silks, linen cotton mixes and foil embellished velvet all overlaid with Hulse's signature leaf silhouettes.
Of the new range Clarissa says, "I acknowledged last spring that working with Harlequin was one of the most rewarding collaborations of my career, so the opportunity to work with the company on a third collection, and to continue to explore and expand on the themes in Callista, is absolute nirvana for me!"
As a self-confessed colour obsessive it's no surprise that this new collection is full of it. There are vibrant combinations of ocean blues and burnt oranges, fiery reds and ochre but, in a move away from brights, there is also the inclusion of a more subdued palette - sepia and charcoal tones add subtle glamour and are perfect for carrying the range through to autumn.
Lilaea will be launched in early summer 2017 and will be available from Harlequin direct and through their network of stockists worldwide.
